We knew that we needed to capture real-world objects that would bring authenticity and texture for our next game. Connaught Place (CP) in Delhi, with its blend of historical charm and modern cityscape, offered the perfect setting. With my Fuji, I spent a day wandering through its streets, looking for unique structures and everyday objects.

Fences with intricate ironwork, security cameras perched on corners, and public benches—all offered interesting design elements. Each object had a different story to tell, from the aging paint on the fences to the sleek, modern lines of the cameras. Some objects require reference modelling, while smaller objects can be scanned in shade(overcast) lighting.

Spending a day in Connaught Place scanning objects for my project was not only productive but also creatively fulfilling. From poles and fences to cameras and benches, the variety of textures and shapes I gathered will help bring a sense of realism and depth to my 3D models. Connaught Place, with its rich mix of urban elements, provided the perfect canvas for my artistic exploration, and I can’t wait to see how these scanned objects will come to life in our upcoming project.
